A cradle Catholic, I attended Catholic grade school in Chicago, high school at the Passionist Prepatory Seminary in St. Louis (3 years), and Regis Jesuit high school in Denver. After one semester at Regis College, I enlisted for three years in the Marine Corps (1952-1955), and then went to Colorado University. I served six years on the Pastoral Council at St. Catherine Church, Kapaa, Hawaii, and four years on the Kauai Advisory Board, Catholic Charities, Hawaii.
I have been an EM for 19 years at Kauai, IHM, and St. Anthony of Padua in Casa Grande, AZ.
I am a life member of both the VFW and the Marine Corps League and am a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus. My first marriage ended in divorce (later annulled, Hawaii diocese). Gladyce and I have been married for 42 years. We have seven children, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
